I never claimed to break the story, firstly, and secondly Lisa didn't break it, either. It began with McConnell's remarks on a Sunday talk show and then at a press conference the following day.
And honestly, Steve, COOL!!! I'm going to see Lewis Black next week at the Tennessee Theater. I'm looking forward to it, too, even if the show's not in Las Vegas nor do the tickets come with a bail-out package for depressed East Tennessee.
Your story was great, but Lisa Mascaro at the Sun broke it first. So it is not exactly your story.

ReplyDeleteAnd The Daily Show chose to use Steve's article in the piece. It wasn't like a Daily Show declaration of "who broke the story first."
